Dear John,
From strained health systems to nutrition-linked diseases to injuries from drowning, drug overdose and road crashes, millions of people worldwide lose their lives each year to causes we have the power to prevent.
Your support is helping turn the tide.
At the Global Health Advocacy Incubator, an initiative of the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, we support partners and advocates in more than 40 countries to pass policies that save lives, reduce disease and prevent injuries.
Every day, this work means making roads safer, ensuring children are vaccinated, protecting kids from drowning, and increasing access to healthier, more nutritious foods.
This year alone, we’ve achieved remarkable progress:
* Healthier schools in Brazil – 1.8 million children now have access to healthier food options following the passage of the first state-level law prohibiting ultra-processed products in schools.
* Building national commitments for vaccines – 21 members of parliament brought together from across Africa and Asia by GHAI and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, made an historic commitment to support funding for childhood immunizations.
* Safer roads in India – The Government of West Bengal issued new safe speed limits – based on road type, traffic conditions, and evidence of crash impact – marking a major milestone to improve road safety.
And much more!
These victories matter. They remind us that when the right policies are enacted, lives are transformed – and saved.
But the fight isn’t over. And right now, we need your help.
Support the work of the Global Health Advocacy Incubator and help power advocacy to reduce preventable deaths and improve health worldwide!

Across the globe, vital health systems are facing their toughest tests in years. Essential programs are underfunded. Industry interests harmful to health are gaining ground. And lifesaving policies are at risk. Your support ensures that advocates in countries around the world can continue this work – defending progress, protecting communities, and saving countless lives.
Let’s enter 2026 stronger, more united, and more determined than ever to protect global health.
With gratitude,
Lucy Martinez Sullivan
