Jack, I wanted to show you this artwork.
It's an illustration of three teens on a bus stop bench in a hilltop neighborhood, with the nighttime skyline of Pittsburgh sprawled out behind them. The city is lit up in deep purples, bright blues, and shining gold—but the teens are pointing up at the sky.
Above them are shining stars, connected to form constellations—but these are different. The constellations are transit maps, connected by tiny glowing buses and T trains. There are two maps in the constellation: one, in yellow, shows the PRT system map as it is. Another, in blue, shows new possibilities for our transit system. It's what the teens want to see; it's what they're dreaming up, together.
That's what we're doing at PPT: dreaming the future of transit justice for ourselves and our neighbors.
The best way to support that dream? Becoming a dues-paying member of PPT during our Year End Member Drive.
From now until the end of December, every one-time gift donated will be doubled by a local foundation. Every monthly recurring membership will be matched 12x! There has never been a better time to contribute to our fight for new constellations of transit rider and worker power.
