A Real-Life Survival Story
 
I always love real-life survival stories. It shows so much about the human spirit, and athough it often starts out with a mistake or two (or more), the sheer will to live informs the next decisions.
 
This particular event happened a few years ago. A 37 year old woman named Amanda stopped to take a quick walk into the jungle...
 
... and never came back.
 
Volunteer rescuers scoured the area, and Amanda was finally rescued after 17 days. It's the middle part of this story that is of the most interest to preppers.
