RECAP: 101ST ANNUAL MEETING
Thank you to all our attendees and sponsors for making our 101st Annual Meeting a success. Held at the Sheraton Pentagon City Hotel, the event celebrated the Chamber’s impact on Arlington’s business community, highlighted 2025 achievements, and previewed priorities for the year ahead.
Keynote speakers Peter Alexander, Co-Anchor, "Saturday TODAY" and NBC News Chief White House Correspondent and Alison Starling, former Co-Anchor for WJLA-TV led an engaging fireside chat on authentic storytelling, evolving media, and audience engagement, followed by a live Q&A. During their address, Alexander stressed "No matter what the topic we're focused on, our responsibility is to tell stories." He elaborated on the need in mass media to treat an audience with respect, and the need to build a relationship with your audience. Starling supported this, noting the contrast between how positive social media can be in local news and how negative it can be at a national level.
The Committee of the Year Award was presented to the Chamber's Community Action Committee. Nestlé received the Chair's Award, sponsored by George Mason University - Costello College of Business, and Scott Reamy of Dominion Energy received the President's Award, sponsored by Walsh, Colucci, Lubeley & Walsh P.C.
Chamber 2026 Board Chair Bismah Ahmed of the Apartment and Office Building Association introduced the incoming Executive Committee and Board of Directors and announced that Andrea Fava of Amazon will serve as the Chamber 2027 Board Chair.
