John, As Hanukkah begins, I want to send wishes of peace and light to every Jewish family in Miami and across South Florida. I also wanted to express my heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of the Bondi Beach victims. Antisemitic attacks like what happened at Bondi Beach are unacceptable, and we must stand united in the face of hate.
With antisemitism on the rise, I know this season feels complicated. More than half of Miami’s Jewish adults say combating antisemitism is their top priority in their giving and community work, and I want you to know: it is one of mine as well. |
Our community is home to many Jewish households — a rich, diverse population that contributes deeply to our culture, history, and civic life.
Hanukkah teaches all of us that even when we feel outnumbered or overwhelmed, hope and resilience can guide us forward. As your candidate for Congress, I am committed to ensuring Jewish families — and all families — here can celebrate, worship, and live safely without fear.
May your homes be filled with warmth, light, and moments of joy in the nights ahead. — Richard Lamondin |
