Hi, team – it's Ben, Michael's campaign manager.
We had to make a tough call this week.
At our last Team Bennet meeting, it was clear we'd need a bigger budget heading into Q1 of the new year, even though we don't yet have the resources to cover it. I gave the green light anyway.
I know it sounds irresponsible. And it is a risk. But as the election cycle ramps up in the new year, we have to kick this campaign into high gear. It'd be a mistake to not take risks now – and here's why:
With this budget, we can run ads about Michael's mission to rebuild Colorado's middle class and make this state's economy actually work for working families, not just the wealthy few. We can plan more campaign stops to reach voters from Fort Collins to Alamosa and everywhere in between. We can keep our digital outreach on the cutting edge.
Simply put, we can do what it takes to reach as many voters as we possibly can: on the air, online and in real life.
But we're not funded by corporate PACs. Instead, we're betting that our base of grassroots supporters will come through by chipping in toward our $20,000 goal ahead of tomorrow night's mid-month deadline to help us make up the rest – if we have the courage to ask.
So with that said: Will you rush a donation now to help us reach our mid-month goal and bridge our Q1 budget gap? Your investment of $X, $25 or any amount today will pay dividends when we win this race.

Like I said, this was a tough call. Thank you for answering with your gift today.
