The toxic chemicals known as PFAS have contaminated Americans’ drinking water and bodies for decades. Finally, now Congress is taking meaningful action to stop the spread of these “forever chemicals” and clean up legacy pollution. But we need your help to make sure the chemical industry doesn’t win this time.

PFAS chemicals have been linked to serious health risks like cancer and immune system harm. These chemicals never break down naturally and are commonly used in cookware, clothing and food packaging.

Dupont and 3M knowingly released these dangerous chemicals into our environment but have done little to stop the alarming spread of PFAS contamination. We need Congress to step in to stop the growing PFAS contamination crisis.

After decades of inaction, it’s finally time to address the PFAS contamination crisis head on. This legislation would:

* Finally restrict industrial discharges of PFAS into the air and water.
* Place a moratorium on new PFAS chemicals.
* Set a two-year deadline for a national PFAS drinking water standard.
* Kick-start the cleanup process and ensure polluters pay their fair share.

These simple steps will go a long way toward addressing the PFAS contamination crisis. But the chemical industry isn’t going down without a fight. We need your help to ensure your senators will support PFAS reform legislation.
