CALL YOUR SENATOR:
Senators must protect America’s public lands

Friend,

Since his inauguration in January 2017, President Donald Trump has increased our national deficit by $5.2 trillion. Worse yet, Trump’s reckless spending of pandemic relief funds that went to many big corporations and millionaires over real small businesses is projected to add an additional $3.7 trillion this year alone.

All by itself, Trump’s massive tax cut for the top 1% and corporate America increased our national debt by a whopping $1.9 trillion. And how does conservative scholar Judy Shelton, Trump’s new Federal Reserve nominee, want to deal with the president's ballooning deficits?

By sticking a For Sale sign on our public lands!

We’re asking senators to stand up for our public lands by rejecting Shelton’s nomination. Call your senator now.

During a hearing before the Senate Banking Committee, Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) questioned Judy about her previous opinion that the government should sell off public assets (America’s public lands, post office, and railway services) to pay off Trump’s deficits.

With her committee vote scheduled for this week, many Senate Banking Committee members from Western states remain “undecided” or even support Shelton’s nomination.

A single “no” in committee could tank this dangerous nominee’s path to confirmation. In addition to these key-committee members, other senators must also join in rejecting Shelton and her public land sell-off scheme before it’s too late. Our public lands and the growing outdoor economy deserve as much.

Will you call your senator today?
