ABC News: DeVos "faces backlash after demand schools reopen full-time amid pandemic"

Friends, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos would rather risk the lives of children and teachers than defy Trump's demands to reopen the country's schools in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

It's clear that DeVos has no plan beyond packing millions of children, teachers, and administrators into school buildings before it's safe.

This is far from the first time she's left vulnerable people to fend for themselves in the education system: DeVos overturned protections for campus sexual assault survivors, denied loan relief to students scammed by for-profit lending sharks, and consistently placed profits before education.

We cannot ignore this complete disregard for students and education workers. Before sending millions of children and teachers back to school, we need plans to keep them safe. So we're asking 10,000 fired-up supporters to stand with our coalition of Democratic Attorneys General in condemning DeVos by midnight TONIGHT - but your name is missing from our petition:
