Hi, this is Congresswoman Julie Johnson.
I just announced that due to Trump’s racist gerrymandering in Texas, I’m running for the newly-drawn TX-33rd district to continue representing my community in Congress. I need your help – so if you’re able, split a donation of $33 between my campaign and Sarah McBride, or keep reading.
I’ve spent most of my life in North Texas. I didn’t just live here; I showed up, stayed involved, and worked alongside families who needed someone willing to fight with them and for them. Long before I ever held public office, I was advocating for people who were ignored or brushed aside as an attorney, and that experience shaped every part of how I serve today.
That’s what drove me to flip Texas House District 115 after forty years of Republican control, and it’s what guided me as I continued serving many of the same neighborhoods in Congress.
The new TX-33 includes thousands of families I have represented since 2018 and since my historic election in 2024. I know these communities not because they appeared on a newly drawn map, but because I have been here, doing the work through every challenge we’ve faced.
This new district deserves representation that has been present in the tough moments, including throughout the redistricting fight, instead of a candidate who parachutes back in when another campaign doesn’t work out. Trump and his far-right allies are attacking our rights, our democracy, and our economy—so we can’t afford leadership that doesn’t stand up and fight back.
As this race continues, my commitment stays exactly where it has always been: focused on delivering results, staying accessible, and leading with respect and consistency. I am here to fight for the people who are too often overlooked and to make sure North Texans are not an afterthought.
That is the work I’ve been doing, and it is the work I will continue. Steady, present, accountable, and rooted in the community I serve—not in the next opportunity that comes along.
Together,
Julie Johnson
