John,
In a shocking move, Trump’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) just approved two new pesticides that contain PFAS “forever chemicals.”
Pesticides don’t belong anywhere near our food, but even worse, they shouldn’t contain PFAS – chemicals that don’t readily break down in our environment and are linked to serious health concerns like cancer. Despite these risks, these chemicals could soon end up on foods like lettuce, broccoli, and potatoes.*
Act Now: Contact EPA Administrator Zeldin and demand that he reverse these PFAS pesticide approvals! ([link removed])
No PFAS on Our Food! ([link removed])
The good news is that Trump and EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin are facing backlash on this decision — even from their base — and are on the defensive. They know this looks bad (because it is), so they’re trying to defend their decision by claiming these aren’t technically PFAS — an excuse that is blatantly wrong and negligent.
Trump and Zeldin can stick their heads in the sand and continue to spread lies, but the truth won’t change. These PFAS pesticides threaten our health and environment, and it’s up to us to call them out.
These approvals expose their priorities more clearly than ever: to put polluter profits above people and the planet. But the science is clear on PFAS. They have no place in our environment, and especially not on our food.
Send your message to the EPA to condemn this decision and prevent the next round of PFAS-laced pesticide approvals. ([link removed])
Onward together,
Mitch Jones
