I’ll get straight to it: I’m reaching out because we’re a few weeks away from the end of the year -- and the final end-of-quarter benchmark before the midterm election year. Will you chip in $3 to stand with Nikki when it matters most, then let me explain exactly what sets this deadline apart?
As Nikki’s finance director, it’s my job to stay on top of our goals to make sure we have the tools we need to reach voters and protect this seat. This deadline is one of only four times this year we’re required by the FEC to report our fundraising. Our supporters, opponents, and political pundits alike will be able to scour our data. If we miss the mark, you can bet Nikki’s multiple GOP challengers will take it as a sign that they can flip this seat. We cannot let that happen. Nikki is a champion for working families and is getting real work done in Washington despite the Republican majority -- protecting veteran care, saving local jobs in Granite City, fighting for federal funding, and more. If this past year has shown us anything, it’s that the GOP can’t be trusted to do what’s right for Illinoisans. They refuse to address the affordability crisis, and millions stand to lose their healthcare or face huge insurance increases.
