Call for Nominations to the

ADC Board of Directors

Washington, DC | www.adc.org | July 9, 2019 - The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) is seeking nominations for four (4) Board positions in the upcoming ADC National Board elections. Members who are able to strengthen ADC’s grassroots strategy, broaden the membership base, assist in raising funds, and expand the organization are encouraged to nominate themselves. Candidates should fit the criteria listed below to ensure ADC achieves the above goals. Please be aware that the Nominating Committee will review all nominations.

Nomination Criteria

Required:

1. Member of ADC with updated dues for the past three (3) years

2. Must adhere to the mission, objectives, and goals of the ADC

Strongly recommended:

1. Experience and knowledge in fundraising and non-profit management

2. Endorsement by local ADC chapter where one exists

To nominate someone for the Board, please submit the following to ADC:

Name of person submitting the nomination and contact information (phone, address, and email)
Name of person to be nominated for the National Board of Directors (or self), plus contact information (phone, address, and email)
A biographical sketch and resume of the nominee (no more than one page)
A one page letter explaining why your nominee should be chosen
Names, addresses, and phone numbers of at least two other ADC members in good standing who endorse the nominee. A one page statement signed by the nominee indicating their willingness to serve if elected and outlining their vision for ADC

All nominations must be received by July 31, 2019.

The Nominations and Elections Committee is tasked with ensuring that all candidates are well-respected members of the Arab American community, are ADC members in good standing, and are committed to furthering the mission of ADC. ADC is an organization that needs to grow and expand its base of support. As with all nonprofit organizations, it falls to the members of the Board of Directors to secure the budget they earmark for the organization. Candidates for the board election must be capable of seriously contributing to this effort.
