Email from Tarrant County Republican Party Plus, we are set for the midterms and ready to win Contribute Today to Support This Work! Help Elect Leigh Wambsganss! On Thursday, Chairman Davis and our Area Leaders met with Leigh Wambsganss to ensure that the Party is doing everything in its power to support her for the SD9 Special Election in January. Everyone is fired up for the March primaries as we enter 2026, but there will be an election before that - and it's all hands on deck. Leigh Wambsganss will head into a runoff election to replace Kelly Hancock for SD9, the largest state senate district in Tarrant County. Her opponent, a radical Democrat, must be defeated. The election will take place on January 31st. Turnout in these special elections is always dramatically lower than in regular elections. However, if every Republican shows up for Leigh on January 31st, it will be a huge victory. This is where we need your help. The #1 goal of the Tarrant County Republican Party, and every Republican in county, must be electing Leigh Wambsganss. She is the only Republican on the ballot, and we must back her. If you live in SD9, get your family, friends, and neighbors to vote for her. Even if you don't live in SD9, assist her campaign. The district spans most of the county, so there is always an opportunity near you. Even if you can't knock doors, you can make phone calls for her from the comfort of your own home. We are all in on Leigh in this special election. If you would like to be connected to the campaign, click here. If every Republican reading this assists in some way, we will win. Historic Candidate Filing Filings closed this week for the 2026 primary, setting the slate for who will be our 2026 nominees for the midterms. This filing season is the most promising we've ever seen. We had nearly 300 filings for precinct chair positions, setting new records and demonstrating great enthusiasm from conservatives to win next November. Over 20 Republican-held offices will be uncontested by the Democrats in November, showing that the Democrats just don't have what it takes to compete. Even though Republicans already control about 90% of all partisan seats in Tarrant County, we're pushing for more - and plan to win. Commissioners' Court Precinct 2, once held by Alisa Simmons, will be under Republican control after the midterms, expanding Republican control of the Commissioners' Court from 60% to 80% of the body. State Contractor Sued for Racial Discrimination The H-1B foreign worker visa has been under fire from conservatives, as young Americans are facing a tough labor market, and America First hiring initiatives have come into focus. President Trump introduced a steep $100k fee for new H-1B applications this year. Foreign labor took another massive blow recently, as Cognizant, one of the top "H-1B farms" in America, was ruled against in federal court for discriminating against non-Indian employees. For context, Cognizant is one of the top H-1B suppliers in Texas, and our state is the #2 H-1B state in the nation, only behind California. This one company has more than 3,000 active foreign employees in Texas on H-1B. Our state government even contracts with Cognizant. This ruling against Cognizant is a win for the people of Texas. Another win came on this front from the Trump Administration, with Harmeet Dhillon recently ending the "disparate impact" theory. This will help to restore racially neutral policies at all levels of American society - including in the workforce. You can read more about the case by clicking here. Share The Roundup with Friends!
