“Woe to you that call evil good, and good evil.” — Is 5:20

Dear
SPUC supporter,
In Britain today, politicians support killing babies up to birth and letting doctors help vulnerable patients to die.
SPUC is fighting for a world in which abortion is unthinkable, and every vulnerable person is protected by law.
This means holding politicians to account when they do evil and supporting them when they do good.
No politician should get away with voting to kill babies or any other vulnerable person.
If you would like to see politicians held to account, please support SPUC’s Advent campaign today.

There are three kinds of politicians.
- Those who serve the common good and want to see people flourish
- Those who desire prestige and power and don’t care about others
- Those who are motivated by radical ideologies and sacrifice innocents to achieve their ends.
SPUC needs three different kinds of lobbying to engage with these three types of politician.
- If a politician is motivated by a desire to do good SPUC approaches them with the truth.
Our professional lobbyists – backed up by SPUC’s exceptional research and resources – provide these MPs with all they need to understand pro-life arguments and see through death lobby lies.
- If a politician is only interested in advancing their career, we show that voting against SPUC will weaken their chances at the ballot box.
Votes are the lifeblood of an MP and are far more important to this kind of politician than ideology or principle.
- When a politician has an ideological commitment to killing precious babies and seeing vulnerable adults die SPUC must adopt a different strategy.
SPUC fights these politicians by exposing their voting record and their radical ideology. We make sure their constituents know exactly what they stand for, so they can vote against them next time around.
SPUC’s political lobbying is extraordinarily effective. Britain’s leading abortion MP, Stella Creasy, has warned abortion laws are in danger because “SPUC lobbies hard.”
For decades SPUC has prevented the expansion of Britain’s abortion laws.
And our campaigns have also kept Britain euthanasia free.
Organisations like SPUC have ensured that Britain has not yet followed Canada, Australia, the Netherlands, and other similar nations, down this terrible path.
But we URGENTLY need YOUR HELP to hold the line again.

Bills currently being debated in Westminster would:
- Decriminalise abortion at every stage of pregnancy
- Authorise doctors to help vulnerable terminally patients die.
And an assisted suicide bill is making its way through the Scottish Parliament too.
SPUC is fighting these laws with everything we’ve got, but a fight like this needs sustained funding at a high level.
To give us the best chance of winning I have:
- engaged experienced professionals to strengthen our lobbying team
- invested in research, polling, and legal advice which are having a massive impact on the debate
- overseen the most significant expansion of grassroots activism for a generation.
But this investment – which could save potentially millions of lives – is necessarily putting a strain on our finances.
Your donation to SPUC will ensure we keep fighting for innocents at full strength.
I know that funds can also be tight for many families in December…
That’s why I would be particularly grateful for your gifts – of any size – for our babies and vulnerable adults this Advent.

P.S. Your donation today speaks volumes for your love for unborn babies and SPUC will use it to ensure that politicians – good and bad – hear your voice.
Together we will get justice.
Together we will make our babies safe.
