Food Drive
An economic crisis is in our midst while the Trump administration moves forward with the one of the largest upward transfers of wealth in American history. Local food pantries have been emptied at alarming rates as our neighbors begin to feel the impact of these decisions. As such, we will continue collecting food through our headquarters for the foreseeable future. This can include perishable foods such as meats as we will be dropping them off at the Fellsmere Fridge
YOUR IMPACT
Thank you to everyone who helped us stock the pantry in time for Thanksgiving. Once again you filled the empty shelves of the Fellsmere Fridge!
Call to Action: Stop Blue Origin from Dumping Wastewater in the Indian River Lagoon
Blue Origin has applied for a permit with the Florida Department of Environmental Protections to dump 500,000 gallons of wastewater a day toward the Indian River Lagoon. If Blue Origin gets their way, our already threatened lagoon could completely collapse--bringing our coastal economy with it.

Patron Book Review: You Don't Have to Say You Love Me
"This memoir has followed me throughout high school and I found my way back to it earlier this year. Sherman Alexie was an important foundation for my entrance to creative writing and memoir reading. The vital veins through this book explore the body of generational trauma, indigenous identity, childhood poverty, and mental illness which is portrayed through poems and essays.
In recent years, sexual harassment allegations have swirled around Sherman Alexie's name further complicating our relationship with impactful work and the landscape of powerful men abusing that power."
-Emily Gutierrez

Education Champions Monthly Meeting
2nd Thursday of each month at 1:00 p.m.
Unitarian Universalist Fellowship
Education Champions is a grassroots organization whose mission is to be a positive, proactive force for addressing public education issues on the local, state and national levels.
Join the Treasure Coast LGBTQ+ Democratic Caucus for their next meeting on December 14. We hope to be joined by Grace Linn, who was featured in the short documentary "The ABCs of Book Banning." We will watch the 30 minute film and have a discussion on the book banning taking place in Martin County and nationwide and talk about DeSantis's attempts to make us invisible to society. We'll then change gears and celebrate the holidays with a party of our own.
This meeting will be held at a private home. More info given after Mobilize signup.
