A busy update today with a mix of concealed carry failures, defensive gun uses, and major legal battles.

In California, the San Francisco Sheriff publicly apologized after budget cuts led to widespread CCW renewal failures. In Maryland, a Virginia concealed carry holder was arrested after defending herself, prompting SAF to urge Supreme Court review.

We’re also covering several violent encounters, including an ex allegedly kidnapping a woman before all three involved were shot and an Arizona woman who fired after a suspect allegedly stole her firearm from her vehicle.

On the policy front, the New Jersey carry fee nullification movement continues to expand, while GOA’s “Big Beautiful Lawsuit” faces coordinated opposition from gun-control groups and the DOJ.
