I've proudly voted no on Republican budgets in the House because I refuse to sit back and let Oregonians get hammered by unaffordable healthcare again and again – and I meant it.

This week, Senate Democrats voted to reinstate critical healthcare subsidies to keep insurance premiums from skyrocketing for millions of Americans as soon as January 1st hits.

Almost every Republican opposed it.

I won't cave on any fight as important as keeping kids and families covered by affordable healthcare that you can actually use when you need it.

Speaker Johnson is parading around his MAGA economic policy, but all he's gotten us is surging health insurance costs, hungry kids cut off from SNAP, and worthless promises about bringing down the cost of living.

He's not going to stop until we make him.

I will fight for working Americans in Congress – no matter the political cost.

That's the kind of leadership we need. I promise to keep putting the working families of the 4th district front and center in every vote I take.
