Safety and dignity are not mutually exclusive. In fact, you cannot have one without the other.
Over the last few days, I’ve been traveling across New York, listening to families who are living in the shadow of fear. It’s dangerous and unacceptable.
Victims of crime stop coming forward. Witnesses go silent. Trust evaporates.

Local law enforcement exists to keep communities safe. While they are forced to do the federal government's bidding, that mission is compromised.
This doesn't just hurt immigrant families; it breaks the fundamental trust between communities and the public servants sworn to protect them.
From Glens Falls to Peekskill, down to Brentwood, Mineola, and Brooklyn: in every community, the message I heard was loud and clear: New Yorkers are demanding a state grounded in dignity and justice, not fear.
We must end harmful ICE cooperation. We must build a New York grounded in dignity.
I am committed to fighting for that future, but I can’t do it alone. I need you with me.
We are up against a political establishment that is too comfortable with the status quo. Please, if you can, chip in today. Help us elect leadership that understands that our diversity is our strength, not a threat.
