Hey, Mikie Sherrill here, Governor-elect of the great state of New Jersey. I know you’ve been getting a lot of emails lately, so I’ll make this one count.

In just 39 days, I will be sworn in as Governor of the Garden State, and I am profoundly grateful for the trust you’ve put in me. I’m inspired knowing I’ll be serving alongside nine other women governors – the most in history! – and 23 Democratic governors nationwide. But this victory isn’t the finish line. It’s the starting point.

Dem govs are the leaders who are moving our nation forward and standing strong against Donald Trump’s dangerous, divisive extremism. With three-quarters of the country’s governors’ offices on the ballot less than a year away, who your governor is has never mattered more.

Democrats everywhere are looking to what we accomplished this year in New Jersey and Virginia as proof that Americans are fed up with Donald Trump’s chaos and cruelty – and they’re ready for leadership that puts people first.
