[[link removed]]Hi there,
One hundred and seventy-two years ago today, the first Women’s Rights convention was held at the Wesleyan Chapel in Seneca Falls, New York. Three hundred women helped to change our country and gathered at the church, including Elizabeth Cady Stanton, a resident of our NJ-5.
From granting women the right to vote in the 19th amendment in 1920 to Roe v. Wade in 1973, so much progress has been made in our nation because of the resilient women in Seneca Falls, but we still have a long way to go.
Last week, the Supreme Court passed a bill that allows employers to deny women health care coverage under the Affordable Care Act.
Will you chip in now to help all of us here at Team Gottheimer fight for Women’s Rights? With the ruling of the Supreme Court and the battle for equal pay, we know there is still a long way to go — but, with your help, we can get there. As a dedicated problem solver, we know Josh will continue taking action until equality for all women has been reached.
The strength of the women at the Wesleyan Chapel 172 years ago paved the way for women’s rights in our country, and with your help we know that one day, we will achieve gender equality in the United States.
