Dear Patriot,

Let’s face it: _FAR TOO MANY MEMBERS OF CONGRESS GROSSLY ENRICH
THEMSELVES THROUGH INSIDER TRADING._

THIS WEEK, I WAS PROUD TO SIGN ON TO REP. ANNA PAULINA LUNA (R-FL)’S
DISCHARGE PETITION BARRING MEMBERS OF CONGRESS FROM ENGAGING IN STOCK
TRADING.

The sad thing is that insider trading IS ALREADY ILLEGAL. Private
American citizens can’t engage in insider trading — _so why do
members of Congress think it’s okay?!_ I don’t know about you, but
I think it’s ABSOLUTELY INSANE that we have to push through a
petition barring our nation’s lawmakers from engaging in illegal
activity.

We shouldn’t have to FORCE our nation’s lawmakers to follow the
very laws they help enforce. Instead, they should be _CALLED TO A
HIGHER STANDARD_ AND SERVE AS _EXEMPLARY CITIZENS,_ NOT corrupt
individuals who take advantage of the insider information they have
been entrusted with as a public official.

As I have always done, I am fighting for YOU and for our body of
government to serve THE PEOPLE, not themselves.

Will you stand with me against corruption in our nation’s capital?
