Dear neighbor,

Donald Trump has a new favorite saying: affordability is a “hoax.”

You heard that right. The President of the United States thinks Americans concerned with the high cost of living are just making it up.

The reality is that grocery prices continue to rise, electricity rates are surging, and healthcare costs are skyrocketing.

What is the Trump Administration focused on? Striking a drug boat that wasn’t even carrying fentanyl or headed to the United States and seizing an oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela. These actions were done without a single vote from Congress to authorize them. That’s why I have been demanding Congress to conduct oversight and for the Department of Defense to release of the video of the second strike that killed two shipwrecked survivors.

This Administration has completely misplaced their priorities. Trump thinks his economy deserves an “A+++++” and he can simply go on tour to convince Americans that his agenda has worked. If this is what Trump thinks is effective, I strongly support him visiting every House district to talk about his indiscriminate tariffs, racial profiling by ICE, and Medicaid cuts. That will surely work.

Congress has one week of votes left this year. I will not give up on fighting to save healthcare, lower costs, and call out this Administration's unlawful actions.
