Our democracy is at an inflection point.

President Donald Trump is shamelessly demanding that politicians manipulate maps in order to preserve political power.

And lawmakers in too many state legislatures across the country are falling in line, weakening the voice of the people by passing egregious gerrymanders.

Meanwhile, anti-democracy groups are assaulting voting rights on multiple fronts — from challenging the Voting Rights Act in court to openly undermining an accurate count in the next census.

These are not separate fights. They’re all connected. And they represent our new reality. We’re in an era of perpetual redistricting and ever-increasing attacks on the American people’s freedom to vote.

That’s why we’re announcing that All On The Line is becoming Redistricting Action — a name that captures both who we are and what this moment demands. Because redistricting isn’t just a policy fight — it’s an ongoing struggle for a representative democracy.

This change is about rising to the challenges we face with the urgency they require — taking action together to build a representative democracy. Add your name and let me know I can count on you to do your part in the critical mission ahead: [[link removed]]

In February 2019 when President Barack Obama and I launched the All On The Line campaign, we wanted to design a nationwide grassroots movement for fair maps and fair representation.

From the start, that movement has been about empowering local organizers to become redistricting experts by offering free training and providing the resources activists need to make a difference in their communities.

And it worked.

Volunteers across the country have testified at hearings, protested against unfair maps, and organized their neighbors to demand accountability from those in power.

Together, we’ve built a people-powered movement that has changed the conversation on redistricting and made a real impact in the fight for fair representation.

But since the last redistricting cycle and especially this year, we’ve entered a new era of mid-decade gerrymandering, court battles, and anti-democracy power grabs. The reality is, if we want a government that actually reflects the people, we need fair maps — and that requires staying engaged, organized, and ready to fight.

Redistricting Action is here to do that work. We were built to meet that challenge. But we need partners, allies, voters, and supporters like you to stay in the fight with us.

If you believe it’s time for fair districts and a truly representative democracy, please share your name today to kick off this new, urgent phase of our work: [[link removed]]
