Washington, D.C. – This weekend I was grateful to spend time at Reagan National Defense Forum, where I joined many of my colleagues and leaders across the defense community to discuss what reforms and advances we must make to ensure our nation is protected from emerging threats around the globe.

I had the chance to join Trace Gallagher in-studio, you can watch our interview for Fox News at Night here or by clicking on the photo below.

I also weighed in on the idea of soccer remaining “soccer” or “football” – click here to view what I had to say!

It's always fantastic to see my former boss, Dr. Ben Carson! I am thankful for his mentorship and leadership since our days working together at HUD.

Had a wonderful time showing members of the Copart sales team around the Capitol Tuesday evening! Even had the chance to take them to the House Gallery, where they got to see some of the floor proceedings in action.

On Wednesday the Ways and Means Committee met for a full committee markup where we advanced nine bipartisan bills. You can read more in my Work of the Week below.

I joined my House colleagues in passing the annual defense bill to deliver on President Trump’s Peace Through Strength agenda. This legislation will make 15 of President Trump’s executive orders permanent and will provide a 4% pay raise for service members.

I had the opportunity to visit Vice President Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance's residence to celebrate the Christmas season, it was absolutely beautiful! I was especially lucky to have my dad in town to join me.

Thank you to Speaker Mike Johnson for taking some time to say hi to my dad and for letting him visit the Speaker’s Balcony!

Thank you to President Trump and his team for hosting us at last night’s Congressional Ball at the White House. It was a great evening celebrating the historic accomplishments Republicans in Congress have delivered with this Administration.

Wonderful to see Secretary Rubio, Education Secretary McMahon, Labor Secretary Chavez-DeRemer, Small Business Administrator Loeffler, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, and many of my House colleagues!

Huge thank you Brennan, Spencer, and Vandela for all of their hard work in our D.C. office this fall! From leading Capitol tours for North Texans, to answering your calls, their contributions made a meaningful impact.

It was great to meet with executives from Alcon, a global leader in eye care, they have a major presence in North Texas and a laboratory in Fort Worth. We had a productive discussion about the strong tax benefits now in effect thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts.
