On Tuesday, I launched “Operation Double Nickel,” a plan to accelerate school property tax cuts, reduce school property taxes, and freeze appraised values for more than 3.3 million homeowners, forever, by taking the current over 65 freeze on taxable value down to homeowners 55 and over, hence the “double nickel.”

President Trump’s Religious Liberty Commission Holds Fourth Hearing on Protecting Religious Liberty in the Military

I am honored to serve as Chair of President Trump’s Religious Liberty Commission alongside Dr. Ben Carson, Dr. Phil, Reverend Franklin Graham, Bishop Robert Barron, Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Rabbi Meir Soloveichik, Kelly Shackelford, Paula White, and the other distinguished members. On Wednesday, we held our fourth hearing at the Old Parkland Debate Hall, focusing on our military.
Our history is clear: since 1775, our country has encouraged religious liberty in the military, distributing millions of Bibles to soldiers and honoring their religious beliefs and practices. In 2012, the Obama administration, followed by the Biden administration, stripped the military of any religious right. They punished soldiers who stood up for their faith and ran many good men and women out of military service. President Trump believes in our soldiers and their religious liberty rights.

Bringing Turning Point USA Chapters to Every Texas High School

On Monday, I joined Governor Greg Abbott and Turning Point USA Senior Director Josh Thifault for a press conference announcing our plan to open Turning Point USA chapters on every high school and college campus across Texas.
Texas is showing the nation how it’s done! These Club America chapters will give students the opportunity to learn, lead, and engage with conservative principles in high schools statewide.
