This fall, we launched our America at 250 Civic Toolkit and Interactive Declaration of Independence, where learners of all ages can discover the words, ideas, and individuals who set the American experiment in motion and continue to shape the debates of today. With your support, we can bring these important online resources to new audiences—not only to those already engaged in civic life, but also to those who don’t know where to begin.
This is just the start of our ambitious 50-state strategy to provide opportunities for civic learning, deeper engagement, and connection in communities across America. Your support will help:
- provide more middle and high school students with a foundational introduction to the Constitution through our Constitution 101 online curriculum,
- offer additional sessions of online student programs like our Scholar Exchanges and Civic Stories,
- deliver deeper dives into constitutional topics like civic virtue through new online classes,
- reach underserved and civically disengaged communities through pilot initiatives like our Civic Education Rural and Remote Communities Fellowship, and
- spark a lifelong love of civics through discovery and play with games, publications, and family activities that bring generations together around the kitchen table.
Your gift will also support programs that provide a trusted forum for thoughtful dialogue featuring experts of diverse perspectives on the constitutional issues at the heart of American life. From our America’s Town Hall series and weekly We the People podcast to meaningful conversations in bookstores, libraries, and community gathering places across the country, we can open people’s minds to new ideas, deepen understanding of how our shared past informs the present, and imagine our future together.
You’ll also help us welcome millions of visitors to Philadelphia next year. With your support, we’ll celebrate the opening of two new exhibits on America’s founding and the separation of powers, and reach beyond our walls with virtual programs, tours, and museum experiences that help visitors continue their learning journeys or connect with us wherever they are.
