Hi John — I’m sorry to email so early, my team and I are having frequent check-ins on the progress to our December fundraising goal. John, I wish I didn’t have to ask for your support so often, but we will not succeed without your help. Republicans are already investing heavily against me, and we expect them to spend hundreds of millions more in the months to come — this could potentially become the first U.S. Senate race ever to cost a billion dollars. They’re lining up PACs, dark-money groups, and mega-donors to write endless checks to benefit my opponent. Talk about absurd. We need to be able to take them on — dollar for dollar. That’s why missing this month’s fundraising goal could set us back significantly, but I know that our team will step up before time runs out.
