Every year, scammers target Marylanders looking for the perfect gift for their loved ones. I’ll tell you more in a moment, but will you chip in right now to help me stand up for Marylanders?

Last year, Americans lost $12.5 billion to fraud. Artificial intelligence is being increasingly used by scammers, making this season’s dupes even more challenging to spot. AI voice clones, fake storefronts, bogus ads, and phishing scams are everywhere, targeting shoppers.
That’s why our office issued a statewide consumer alert, with a simple message: Be vigilant. Verify the retailer you’re buying from and secure your payment information. Don’t let a too-good-to-be-true deal cost more than you bargained for.
While families are trying to find the right gifts, criminals are trying to exploit them.
And as we head into the holidays, one of the hardest fundraising months of the year, your support means everything. Will you chip in $5 today to my campaign to help us continue protecting Marylanders?
