Hi there, it’s Congresswoman Andrea Salinas from Oregon’s 6th District – and I’m so proud to endorse Carol Obando-Derstine for Congress.

I know firsthand what it’s like to be the only Latina in a crowded primary. I know what it’s like to have millions in outside spending flood into a race trying to stop you.

And I also know what it takes to win anyway.

Before I tell you why Carol is the candidate who can flip PA-07, will you chip in to support her campaign today?

There are a couple of things I need you to know about this race:

→ Carol is the only Latina and the only woman running in this primary – and just like in my race, that means she’s up against candidates with deeper-pocketed allies.

→ Outside groups and national Republicans are already eyeing PA-07. This district is so competitive that even small advantages will determine the outcome.

→ This race is the most competitive in the country – we must win this to take back the House majority.

I ran and won in a crowded field where millions were spent to boost my white male opponents and tear me down. I know how steep these fights can be, and I also know that candidates like Carol can win them when people like you step up early.

Carol’s story is the story we need in Congress: she’s a mom, an engineer, and a community advocate who understands working families because she comes from one. We need more candidates like Carol in Congress, and that’s exactly why I’m endorsing her early.
