Haley served as Chief of Staff on President Obama's Auto Rescue Task Force, the initiative responsible for saving 200,000 Michigan jobs and revitalizing Michigan manufacturing.

She also played a key role in creating two federal offices: the Office of Recovery for Automotive Communities and Workers, and the White House Office of Manufacturing Policy.

Haley has piloted initiatives to expand digital manufacturing. To introduce young students to STEM careers, Haley wrote the Building Blocks of STEM Act and championed the bill until it was signed into law.
