Time is running out.

If Republicans don’t take action to protect the Affordable Care Act before the end of the year, millions of Americans — including tens of thousands of Oregonians — will see their healthcare costs skyrocket.

This comes at a time when people across the country are already being crushed by high costs. We need to be making healthcare more affordable, not less.

But Speaker Johnson doesn’t seem like he wants to hold a vote anytime soon. In fact, Republicans shut down the government in October to avoid taking action to protect affordable healthcare.

That’s why my Democratic colleagues and I are working day in and day out to protect affordable healthcare.

Every single House Democrat signed a discharge petition which would force a vote on extending the Affordable Care Act. With less than 30 days to go, we’re not backing down in this critical fight.
