Illinois’ 6th District isn't really a "safe" Democratic seat. These are the facts:

FACT: IL-06 was a Republican stronghold for half a century until 2018, when yours truly flipped it blue.

FACT: This was at one point the most competitive battleground in America in 2022, according to FiveThirtyEight .

FACT: The Cook Political Report pegs us at D+3, just 3 points more Democratic than the nation overall.

FACT: Of 435 House districts, ours is the 178th-most Democratic , solidly in the middle of the pack.

IL-06 is far from deep blue. So you might call it… periwinkle ? Lilac? (You get the point.)

The fact is, I’ve been a thorn in MAGA's side since my first day in office. They’d love nothing more than to kick me out of Congress and tack on an extra seat to their thin majority.

Not to mention, IL-06 is one of the most diverse districts in America. People of at least 27 different ethnicities and nationalities call our district home (our food scene and holiday parades are second to none).

This year, we got a taste of the cruelty MAGA has in store for diverse communities like ours. We have to protect our friends and neighbors, and that starts with defeating my hardline MAGA opponent in 2026.
