Dear Friend,
This week on The SoCon Report, we’re continuing one of the most important and sobering conversations we’ve hosted. I sat down again with Jason McGuire, Executive Director of New York Families Foundation, to discuss his newly released documentary Inmate 090198 — a powerful look at what happened when the state came after him for standing firm in his Christian convictions.
Many of you already know Jason's story. In this follow-up conversation, he goes deeper into what those years of lawfare looked like: relentless subpoenas, mounting legal costs and the constant weight of state pressure.
Jason talks openly about the moment the charges came, how he processed the accusations, and how the Lord strengthened him when the weight of the situation felt overwhelming. He also shares his unique struggles with incarceration, the toll his 53 days of confinement took on his family, and how believers gathered each week to pray not just for him, but also for Letitia James, the Attorney General who targeted him.
Jason’s new documentary Inmate 090198 is a warning, but it is also a testimony of God’s faithfulness in the fire. I cannot encourage you strongly enough to watch it.
