Dear John,
We really need your help. The Christmas holiday is sneaking closer every day… and we still have 183 families waiting to be adopted through our Holiday Adopt-A-Family program.
These families have all served or are currently serving our country. They represent every branch, every background, every story. But one thing they all have in common is this: they are struggling.
From navigating medical injuries to facing job loss, many of the families looking for support are asking only for basic necessities on their wish lists—clothes, shoes, hygiene items, books…
Some are simply hoping their kids will have something to open on Christmas morning.
Many are hoping for nothing more than a holiday meal.
Victor M., a disabled Navy Veteran in Dallas shared:
"I am a single father of 5. Disabled OIF/OEF Veteran and am currently unemployed as of three years. I was laid off in October 2022 due to limitations of my work responsibilities due to my disabilities.
We are currently without any funds and I am currently dealing with SSDI for compensation and have been denied my appeal. The VA has provided me with a pro bono lawyer who is currently appealing my case in the near future to see an Administrative Law Judge.
As of now I don't have income and we are currently living off my plasma donations. It would mean the world to my children if they can have a Christmas this year. If Soldiers' Angels isn't able to assist then I'm sad to say they won't have a Christmas this year."
Victor's story is all too familiar. These families are doing everything they can to make ends meet and provide for their children—but without our help, it simply won’t happen this year.
Please, can you be the hope Victor needs?
You can make a world of difference today by adopting her family or any one of the remaining 183 families still waiting.
