SPUC supporter,
Since 1967 our country has been engulfed by unimaginable grief.
More than precious 10 million unborn babies have been killed by abortion.
And millions of mothers, fathers, and other family members, have gone through life bearing the anguish that so often follows.
This is a cause for national shame.
But we are not powerless in the face of this evil.
Each and every one of us must play our part in bringing abortion to an end and healing to wounded and anguished hearts.
In our political system, we vote for the men and woman who make our laws.
This a grave responsibility.
SPUC is leading the way in the fight for a Parliament that will protect and defend vulnerable babies, children and adults.
We do this by:
- Going into schools, colleges, and universities to form a new generation of pro-life young people
- Sending specially trained and love-filled warriors out into the streets to engage directly with members of the public
- Leafleting ordinary homes up and down the country to bypass the mainstream media
- Broadcasting the truth through our new SPUC TV station, operating from studios in Glasgow and London
- Publishing ground-breaking analysis and research that is changing the course of the debate
- Organising educational events and acts of public witness nationwide.
These actions, and many more, are changing hearts and minds day bring a Pro-Life Parliament closer.
But each of these actions has a cost.
And, so far, we have only received 9.2% of the amount that budgeted for our Twelve Days of Advent Campaign.
SPUC must stay in the fight for unborn babies and vulnerable adults.
Only when every baby and vulnerable adult has full legal protection can SPUC lay down its sword.
This means all SPUC’s campaigns are carefully costed.
Our aim is always to make the greatest possible impact with the resources available while ensuring we remain financially stable for those who need us.
If we raise less than budgeted, we must cut back.
If we raise more than budgeted, we can increase expenditure and do even more to save lives and bring abortion to an end.
