Asthma and Allergies: Seasonal Triggers

Winter holidays can increase exposure to triggers for asthma, allergies, and food allergies. Allergy & Asthma Network (AAN) recently shared key safety tips to help families prepare.

School nurses play an essential role in keeping kids with food allergies safe at school. Maryland school nurse leader Elizabeth Elliott joined AAN's podcast to discuss how school nurses manage food allergies and asthma, 504s and action plans, training school staff in epinephrine administration, and ways families can partner with school nurses for advocacy.
