Hello,
It's been a year since the House of Representatives passed the Raise the Wage Act, which would've raised the federal minimum wage for the first time in a decade.
A year later, working families are struggling to make ends meet, especially with the added pressure of a global pandemic, and the time for action is long overdue.
The Raise the Wage Act would finally raise the minimum wage to $15, raise the tipped minimum wage, and index annual increases to wage growth overall, so that families would no longer be forced to choose between paying their rent and feeding their children. Bob was proud to co-sponsor the bill, but Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has refused to allow a vote.
Tell Mitch McConnell: "It's time to raise the minimum wage -- allow a vote on the Raise the Wage Act now!"

Too many workers and parents are working full shifts, day after day, for wages so artificially low that they're forced to rely on public assistance to pay their rent, feed their children, afford medication, and pay for childcare.
If more of America's employers paid a fair minimum wage, these workers could not only make ends meet on their own, they could invest more in themselves, their families, and our economy.
The 2009 increase in the minimum wage helped our Nation recover from an economic crisis. A new increase would put more dollars into our communities at a time when our country is struggling once again, so we need to build public pressure to help make it happen.
Add your name now. Tell Mitch McConnell to allow a vote on the Raise the Wage Act.
