Senate Republicans made their position painfully clear: they would rather force health care prices to skyrocket for working families than lift a finger to help.

They voted to kill a Democratic proposal to extend Affordable Care Act (ACA) premium tax credits — the only thing preventing health care costs from doubling for millions of Americans, including hundreds of thousands of Michiganders.

Mike Rogers supports these price hikes. So does every single Republican running for governor and every Michigan Republican in Congress. They all backed the GOP tax law that failed to extend ACA credits, and now they’re refusing to fix the crisis they created.

While families brace for these costs, Republicans are celebrating tax breaks they just won for billionaires.

This is exactly why we need to elect a Democrat to Michigan’s open U.S. Senate seat and flip competitive U.S. House seats in 2026. When Democrats are in charge, we fight to lower costs, not raise them.
