John,

I want to speak plainly with you because this is serious.

At the end of this month -- on December 31st -- the ACA tax credits that thousands of families in our community rely on are set to expire. If Congress doesn’t act, people in CA-49 could see their premiums double, triple, or even quadruple overnight.

This didn’t happen by accident.

Trump and the Republicans made this crisis inevitable. They spent years trying to dismantle the ACA piece by piece, and when Democrats fought to keep the government open and protect these tax credits, Republicans chose chaos instead. They still don’t have a real plan to make healthcare more affordable, but they’re perfectly willing to let costs skyrocket for working families.

That makes me angry. It should make us all angry. And I’m not going to let them get away with it quietly.

If these expiring ACA tax credits will affect you or your family, I want to hear from you directly. Your stories matter -- they help me fight for you on the Appropriations Committee, and they make it harder for Republicans to ignore the real-world consequences of their reckless choices.

Will you film a short video to share your story with me? My team will follow up and make sure you’re heard.
