Dear John,

Women and children are facing increasing threats in the digital realm, including various forms of online sexual exploitation and abuse (OSEA). Growing trends like AI-generated deepfakes, online grooming, and doxing can have lasting impacts on the lives of those targeted and lead to further violence offline. And while technology races ahead, lawmakers and justice systems struggle to keep pace.

For over a decade, Equality Now has taken action against OSEA, including in Japan, where we challenged video games like RapeLay that promote sexual violence, and in the United States, where our thought leadership influenced the Take It Down Act, which was signed into law earlier this year. These are just a few examples of how we are helping to create a safer, fairer digital world for everyone, not only women and girls. However, this work depends on the support of people like you.

Please help accelerate our efforts by making a tax-deductible donation today. A partner who has supported Equality Now since 1996 has generously offered to match all charitable contributions through the end of the year dollar-for-dollar up to a total of $50,000. ([link removed]) That means your gift of $25 will become $50, and your gift of $100 will become $200. John, please don’t miss this opportunity to double your impact.

As we continue to strengthen digital rights and safety for all, we are committed to keeping survivors’ voices at the centre of our work. This is why we recently published research on the lived experiences of women and girls who have survived OSEA in Kenya and India. Their stories are a powerful testament to why we all need stronger legal protections against this pervasive abuse, and will be key to developing and advancing survivor-centred solutions. Over the next week, I will share some of their stories, which I hope will inspire you to be part of the solution.

, please consider supporting Equality Now before the end of the year. For a short period of time, all contributions will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to a total of $50,000. We need your help to unlock these funds and ensure that no money is left on the table. ([link removed]) Thank you for continuing to support Equality Now and women and girls everywhere. We appreciate your commitment thus far.

In solidarity,
S. Mona Sinha
Global Executive Director
