That struck a nerve with the president and his cronies. Donald Trump called for my death. Stephen Miller accused my colleagues and me of insurrection. Scott Perry, the guy who tried to help Trump overthrow the 2020 election, said our actions were seditious.

Why? Because they really don’t like hearing about the law and the Constitution.

Let me make one thing unmistakably clear for all pathetic oath-breakers: Our Constitution is not a polite suggestion to those in power—it is our sacred American compact, bigger than any weak man or his even weaker enablers.

In the Navy and in Congress, I swore an oath to uphold the Constitution, and nothing will deter me from honoring this oath or doing my job for the good people of Pennsylvania.

I will not be intimidated. And I will always uphold my sacred oath, and I will never back down in the fight to protect our democracy, our freedoms, and our country.
