After we launched our campaign yesterday, we turned a lot of heads. And yes, we met our 1,000 donor goal—more than doubled, in fact. I am so grateful, and I wanted to share some more with you:

Whether it was political observers, long-time neighbors and partners, or New Yorkers I just met this past year, everybody was buzzing about our campaign launch yesterday!

The New York Post even gave me an (almost) nice headline! Even they can't hate Mr. Rogers too much, I suppose.

So whether you're a yearslong supporter or someone who just joined us yesterday, thank you. For a campaign like ours to succeed, we have to bring people together — and that's exactly what folks are doing right now.

But John, we can't get ahead of ourselves. After all, this is just day one. This is going to be a long, hard-fought campaign.
