I am Marseille Allen, the Managing Regional Director for Southeast Michigan, and I’m writing to you from our brand-new MDP office on Woodward in Detroit.

And let me tell you: it’s getting hot in here, literally.

Not only are we making some repairs to the heating system, but our organizers are warming up for the midterms and building the foundation we need in Detroit to help Democrats win next year.

Jokes aside, this office is critical to building true Democratic unity in Southeast Michigan, and it only exists because of grassroots supporters like you.

Your donations made it possible for the Michigan Democratic Party to open a permanent, year-round organizing hub in Detroit — a gathering place where volunteers can train, voters can connect, and our community can build power together.

This office isn’t just four walls and a sign on America’s first paved road. It’s a commitment to organize in every neighborhood, train hundreds of new volunteers, expand our reach into communities Republicans ignore, and build the infrastructure Democrats need to win in 2026 and beyond.

Governor Whitmer’s seat is open. Control of the State House is on the line. We have a toss-up U.S. Senate race. And Republicans are pouring dark money into Michigan, trying to drag us backward.

Opening new offices is how we fight back. It’s how we grow. It’s how we win.

But keeping the Detroit office running, and opening more offices across the state, takes resources. That’s why I’m reaching out personally to ask if you will chip in today to help us keep this momentum going and build a powerful Democratic Party for years to come.
