Fox News' Jesse Watters throws in the towel on midterms, tells Republicans "you're gonna lose the House"

Diet Sean Hannity and professional chauvinist Jesse Watters is officially waving his very white towel on Republicans' prospects of holding onto their House majority next year, despite ongoing efforts by Trump and his MAGA minions to disenfranchise Democratic voters through nefarious gerrymandering schemes. Bloviating on his show, The Five, yesterday, Watters breathlessly predicted that next year will be "insane" and the "greatest economic year since the ’80s" — which a) is a decade, not a year and b) was actually marred by catastrophic deregulation, Ronald Reagan's regressive tax policies, and the destruction of the American middle class — but admitted he didn't think it would be enough to stave off an imminent blue wave in the House. Watters of course went on to blame Democrats for everything going wrong today, despite Republicans controlling the White House and both chambers of Congress. It makes plenty of sense if you patently refuse to think about it.

VIDEO OF THE DAY: Republicans get surprise bad news in deep-red state

The Republican Party's ongoing battle to steal yet another congressional seat to protect Donald Trump just ran into a massive brick wall in Missouri, where 300,000 residents signed a petition demanding a statewide vote on the GOP's redistricting plan before it can take effect. If just 106,000 of those signatures are validated, Trump's MAGA goons cannot impose their new gerrymandered map before the 2026 midterm elections. Instead, the ballot initiative would proceed, leaving in place the existing congressional maps for at least another election cycle. Brian Tyler Cohen and Marc Elias discuss the ramifications on the latest episode of "Democracy Watch."

Progressive champion Charles Booker launches campaign to flip Mitch McConnell’s seat!

Charles Booker for US Senate: Beloved community icon and stalwart progressive state representative Charles Booker knows that after decades of neglect and cruelty from Mitch McConnell, Kentuckians are hungry for a Senator who will fight for working families and NOT Trump and his billionaire cronies — and now that McConnell is retiring, Booker has the perfect opportunity to channel the frustration and anger that Kentuckians are feeling towards MAGA extremists and flip this critical Senate seat blue! Will you chip in to help elect Charles Booker and take back the Senate from Republicans?

Pentagon's AI bot immediately calls bullshit on legality of Pete Hegseth's drug boat strikes

DUI hire Pete Hegseth just can't catch a break these days. On Tuesday, the Department of War Crimes secretary unveiled the Pentagon's new AI chatbot for military personnel, GenAI.mil. And almost immediately, the bot did him wrong in the name of right. When presented with a "hypothetical" boat strike scenario mirroring precisely what went down on Sept. 2, 2025 in the Caribbean, GenAI responded unequivocally, declaring a "double tap" strike killing off survivors as "unambiguously illegal." Oops. Sounds like it might be time for Elon to drop by and write some fresh code so GenAI can tell us how totally awesome Pete is at everything, including dancing around the truth.

Treasury secretary claims rent "down significantly" under Trump
Treasury Sec. Scott Bessent, whose net worth is somewhere in the ballpark of $600 million, wants you to know your rent has fallen "significantly" despite your checking account definitely telling you otherwise. Oh, Bessent's current primary residence is a $12.5 million estate in the Georgetown neighborhood in Washington, DC. He also owns a $4 million home in North Carolina and has bought and sold some 20-plus tony properties over the years. Make of that what you will.

Barron Trump sees Andrew Tate as "big brother" and received dating advice from his associate, report claims

Donad's 19-year-old son turning to an infamous sexual predator and human trafficker for brotherly advice on the topic of, uh, courtship, is just about the most on-brand thing you'll read all week. If ever there was any doubt just how Trumpian a Trump scion could truly be, let this revelation permanently put such pondering to rest. But hats off to Barron, we guess? He actually managed to find the one person on earth who could credibly offer him WORSE brotherly advice than his own siblings.

Meta shuts down global accounts linked to abortion advice and queer content

Meta has removed or restricted dozens of accounts belonging to abortion access providers, queer groups, and reproductive health organizations in the past weeks in what campaigners call one of the "biggest waves of censorship" on its platforms in years, according to The Guardian. The takedowns and restrictions began in October and targeted the Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp accounts of more than 50 organizations worldwide, some serving tens of thousands of people — in what appears to be a growing push by Meta to limit reproductive health and queer content across its platforms. Many of these were from Europe and the UK, however the bans also affected groups serving women in Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East. Surely just a coincidence that Meta's policies are aligning with a distinctly MAGA worldview just as Zuckerberg and Trump have kissed and made up, right?

Trump’s energy secretary laughably claims data centers lower electricity prices for consumers
Ah, yes. Who among us isn't familiar with basic supply-and-demand economics? When the demand for a finite resource increases dramatically — say, when an energy-intensive data center needs gobs more electricity to keep from overheating — and the supply stays the same, everybody knows the price for said finite resource drops dramatically! Right?! And if you believe that crock of baloney from Trump Energy Secretary Chris Wright, might we interest you in a bridge we have for sale?

Trump unveils $1 million gold card with his mug and bald eagle for quickie visas
Lord Goldemort hawking million-dollar, get-in-quick visas to (wealthy white) foreigners while doubling down on his crusade to banish folks from his expanding list of so-called "shithole countries" is peak 2025 autocratic cronyism. It's also casually racist and deeply immoral, just like Donald himself.
