Dear Friend,
What stands out to me about 2025 is not one big win. It is the steady work of rebuilding after a very tough election.
When I stepped into the role of Communications Director in May, it was clear that keeping the Green Party in the national conversation would be harder with fewer staff and the added pressure of raising funds to pay down our election debt.
We did a lot this year with very little.
For me, the work of rebuilding started with listening. Each week I read through your responses to our emails because I want to know what matters to you. I meet with volunteers who lead organizing in their communities and I spend time with our Shadow Cabinet members who give their expertise so generously. Even after nearly a decade with the Party, there is always more to learn. That listening shapes how I approach our national communications.
Progress can feel slow at times, but we are building a stronger foundation and a clearer voice.
With your support, we showed Canadians that the Green Party is not going anywhere.
Since Parliament resumed this fall, our social media channels came back to life. Engagement rose. More people watched our videos. Elizabeth is back in the news and shaping the national conversation on key issues. When others stepped back from hard conversations about the government’s actions, Greens stepped forward.
And when every other political party saw their fundraising numbers decline in the second half of 2025, we bucked that trend and saw our donations increase. In fact, we had our best third quarter since 2022, and our best November since 2016!
That didn’t happen by accident. It happened because our team, supported by donors like you, worked with focus and persistence every day.
You helped stabilize the Party in 2025. Thank you. This December, help us grow in 2026.
December is our most important fundraising month. Our goal is one million dollars. It is ambitious but achievable if everyone contributes what they can. If each person reading this email gives one hundred dollars, we will reach our goal. And if you are able to give more, December is when your support makes the greatest difference.
Every dollar strengthens our communications plan for the year ahead, including:
- Telling a clearer Green story that gives people hope and a reason to act
- Helping Canadians hear more from our leader, deputy leaders, and future candidates
- Making sure our team is ready for the 2026 leadership race
Will you help us reach our December goal? Federal law limits donations to one thousand seven hundred and fifty dollars in 2025. Only individual Canadians, not corporations, unions, or foundations, can fund this work.
