84% of state legislative seats will be up for election in 2026.
That’s more than 6,000 seats that will determine whether our community moves forward or is pushed backward — seat by seat, chamber by chamber.

And state legislatures aren’t symbolic. They’re where the real governing happens. While Congress passed just 150 bills over the last two years, state legislatures passed nearly 15,000 in the first half of 2024 alone. These chambers are driving the attacks on LGBTQ+ people — and they’re also where we’ve won some of the strongest pro-equality protections in the country.

The stakes couldn’t be higher. And the opportunity couldn’t be bigger.
