Hi John,
By now, you know that data centers are coming to Wisconsin. Did you know that community members speaking out against data centers were arrested in Port Washington last week? We cannot let the influence of tech billionaires and utilities silence us. Proposed data centers pose a significant threat to our water, our climate, and our communities. They need to be responsible stewards of Wisconsin’s natural resources.
That’s why Wisconsin Conservation Voters is running a campaign to make sure we hold data centers to high standards for clean energy and transparency. Donate now and your gift will go three times as far in the fight to regulate data centers. Thanks to very generous donors, $25 becomes $75, $50 becomes $150, and your $100 gift becomes $300 until the end of December!

Our members helped to elect conservation champions Sen. Jodi Habush Sinykin and Rep. Angela Stroud, who recently introduced The Data Center Accountability Act (SB 729 & AB 722). Your support directly led to the introduction of legislation that would ensure data centers: -
Cover their own energy costs instead of passing them to local ratepayers
- Use at least 70 percent renewable energy to qualify for tax breaks
- Are transparent about water and energy use
-
Pay workers fairly
With your help, we’ve made progress in the fight for accountability. But we still need your gift to continue this momentum and to ensure that Wisconsin’s people, communities, and valuable resources come before corporate greed. Donate today to hold data centers accountable. |
