While the most egregious examples may not be the big-name swing states, rest assured that efforts to execute extremely partisan gerrymanders, attack judges for their decisions, and limit voter referendums are happening coast-to-coast in a concerted effort to restrict our democracy.

Democracy Docket: To Protect Gerrymanders, GOP Lawmakers Target Judges — and Voters [[link removed]]
Vote-suppressing state legislators around the country have identified the biggest obstacles to their all-encompassing mid-decade redistricting efforts: Judges in the courts and the voters bringing those legal challenges to these gerrymanders. So opponents of voting rights are responding by launching all-out attacks on both.
The cases fighting for fair democracy and fair districts have generally won in the courts -- at least until those cases have reached a highly partisan Supreme Court. But the anti-democracy forces aren't leaving anything to chance. They're answering any pro-democracy rulings with threats to impeach judges, pack the courts, and make judicial elections partisan. They’re also working to undermine the power of voters to have a voice in the redistricting process, by attacking voter-approved constitutional amendments and making it harder for voters to put amendments on the ballot.
Their desired end result of these attacks is clear. The harder they make it to vote, the more politicians make voter participation feel worthless, the less people actually take part. And in a general sense, the less people who vote, the more the vote suppressors can make sure only their hand-picked voters have an easy time voting.

Need examples? Take Utah. One lawmaker in the state filed impeachment charges against Judge Dianna Gibson after she struck down the state’s gerrymandered congressional map and called out lawmakers for defying a voter-approved constitutional amendment that requires fair election districts. Other leaders in the legislature launched attacks on the judge, calling her ruling “ the arrogance of a King playing judge ” and describing the ruling to enforce a voter-approved amendment as a “ constitutional crisis ” and a “ direct threat to our constitutional order .”
Then there's Missouri, where the state's direct democracy system is under attack as state legislators try and limit election referendums. It's happening right now because of a referendum effort to overwrite the state legislature's Trump-driven gerrymander, but the state legislature has a history of overriding people-powered referendum results in the state.
Striking down direct democracy efforts and gerrymandering districts is all a way to silence voters. This is about the party in power choosing their voters in order to stay in power in perpetuity. This is about removing any obstacles, including judges, that stop them from having total control.
We can't afford to watch our democracy go backwards like this. Chip in $25 or whatever you can today to help us protect the right to vote nationwide >> [[link removed]]

Integrity First Voter Action Project is dedicated to expanding ballot access and increasing voter participation across the country.
Since the Supreme Court gutted key provisions in the Voting Rights Act, extreme politicians have taken advantage to pass harsh laws that restrict access to the ballot box. These restrictions particularly affect disadvantaged communities and people of color. It’s our goal to bring awareness to these laws wherever they may crop up and organize voters to take action to ensure the right to vote is available to everyone in their states and communities.
