FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Skagit County to Close Non-Essential Services on December 11, 2025 Due to Flooding
Due to ongoing flooding and hazardous conditions throughout the region, Skagit County will be closing all non-essential government services, including all District Court and Superior Court services on Thursday, December 11, 2025. This decision has been made to ensure the safety of our employees and residents, and to allow emergency response teams the ability to focus on critical operations. County officials are closely monitoring the situation and coordinating with local and state agencies to respond to the impacts of the flood.
Essential services—including emergency management, public safety, and road maintenance—will continue to operate.
Residents are also encouraged to avoid unnecessary travel, stay informed through official channels, and follow any evacuation or safety advisories issued by local authorities.
Updates will be posted on the Skagit County website and shared via our social media platforms.
We appreciate the public’s understanding and cooperation as we work to ensure the safety and well-being of our community.
